RPK Russian Prison Knife Vintage all metal switchblade knife. These knives were made by inmates of Russian prisons back in the 1960s and 70s to be sold to raise capital for the prisons. They are all hand made and very unique and beautiful pieces of Russian cutlery Folk Art. This knife measures just over 18cm (7 1/8 inches) open with an aluminum frame and gold colored bolster plates with very nice engraving with a Crown on the front and a hunter on the back plate. The clip saber blade is full and has all of the original finish with no markings. The knife works well with the blade tip seating deep in the well when closed, smooth snap and tight lockup when open. It is button open, button close. Very cool vintage Russian RPK all metal switchblade.
