Russian Seahorse RPK automatic knife

This is another vintage RPK (Russian Prison Knife) that I got direct from Russia. These were made by inmates to be sold to the public to raise money for the prisons in the 1970s and 80s, I believe. I'm still researching it. These knives are all one-of-a-kind pieces of Russian cutlery Folk Art and they are a lot of fun to collect and make wonderful wall display pieces. They can be found in all shapes and sizes and so far I haven't found any two exactly alike. This one reminds me of a Seahorse so I'm going with that. It measures just under 7 inches open with aluminum liners and synthetic scales of white with a red surface. The blade is elaborately engraved. The knife works great with the blade tip seating deep closed, good snap and good lockup with a little movement. Cool old Russian RPK automatic knife.
