RPK 27cm Russian Prison Knife Swing guard lock back vintage automatic knife

Vintage RPK 27cm Russian Prison Knife Swing guard lock back automatic knife believed to have been made in a USSR prison by inmates to raise capital for the facilities sometime between 1950 and 1980. Though they are all unique and one-of-a-kind hand made knives most do have similar traits and are wonderful pieces of Russian Folk Art. This knife measures 26.5cm (10 3/8 inches) open and 5 3/8 inches closed with magnetic steel liners and button with non magnetic steel bolsters and one-piece guards. The bayonet style sawback blade with blood groove appears to be 98% full, or better with original finish and no markings. The brown scales appear to be some sort of synthetic material and are shaped to fit your hand well. The knife works well with blade tip centered and below the liners closed, strong snap and Tight lockup open. The button is hard to push and takes a strong thumb with no danger of opening accidentally in your pocket. Safety works. EX condition.
