RPK 27cm Russian Prison Knife automatic very heavy

RPK 27cm Russian Prison Knife automatic very heavy and it is believed that these knives were made by inmates of Russian prisons back in the 1960s and 70s to be sold to raise capital for the prisons and used as gifts & bribes by prison staff. They are all hand made and very unique and wonderful pieces of Russian cutlery Folk Art. This knife measures 27cm (10.63 inches) open and 6 inches closed with brass liners and steel button. The crude clip blade appears to be mostly full and shiny with scratches and spotting. The scales (handles) are very thick and held on by screws. The knife works well with blade tip slightly above the liners closed, strong snap and good lockup open with about 1/8" up and down at the tip. VG- condition.
