RPK Russian Prison Knife Vintage gunstock swing guard switchblade knife. These knives were made by inmates of Russian prisons back in the 1960s and 70s to be sold to raise capital for the prisons. They are all hand made and very unique and beautiful pieces of Russian cutlery Folk Art. This knife measures just over 22.5cm (9 inches) open with an aluminum frame & guards and steel bolster plates. The straight blade appears to be mostly full and has a plated finish with no markings. The knife works well with the blade tip seating deep in the well when closed, smooth strong snap and tight lockup when open. It is button open backspring release to close. Very cool vintage Russian RPK gunstock swing guard switchblade.
