RPK 22cm Russian Prison Knife Vintage Automatic Grooved blade knife

RPK 22cm Russian Prison Knife Vintage Automatic Grooved blade knife. It is believed that these knives were made by inmates of prisons in the USSR between 1950 and 1970s to be sold to generate money for the prisons and to be sold and given away as gifts/bribes by guards and prison personnel. This knife measures 22cm (8 5/8 inches) open with steel liners and a brass button. The curved blade has deep grooves cut into the face and appears to be full and shiny with no markings. The synthetic scales are formed to fit the hand for a great feel when holding this knife and are in great condition with the front being all brown and the back mostly Ivory with brown border. The knife works well with blade tip deep and centered in the well, STRONG snap and TIGHT lockup! EX+ condition.
