RPK 22cm Russian Gunstock Swing Guard Lockback vintage automatic knife

Vintage RPK 22cm Russian Gunstock Swing Guard Lockback automatic knife believed to have been made in Russia by prison inmates between 1950 and 1980s to be sold to generate income for the facility and maybe given as gifts or bribes by prison officials. The knife measures 21.5cm (8 7/16 inches) open and 4.5 inches closed with steel liners and aluminum bolsters & guards. The straight back blade appears to be 99% full with original finish with scratches from sharpening/use and no maker's mark. The frame is Gunstock shaped with Red synthetic scales that are in very good condition with handling marks. The knife works well with blade tip DEEP & centered closed, good snap and very good lockup with just a tiny bit of movement each way at the tip open. Press button to open and push down on raised backspring to release blade to be closed. Barely rattles when shaken with blade open. VG+ condition.
