RPK Russian Prison Knife Vintage Gunstock swing guard switchblade knife. These knives were made by inmates of Russian prisons back in the 1960s and 70s to be sold to raise capital for the prisons. They are all hand made and very unique and beautiful pieces of Russian cutlery Folk Art. This knife measures just over 21cm (8 3/8 inches) open with a steel liners and, aluminum bolster plates and guards. The blade is nearly full and has lots of light scratches. The knife works well with the blade tip seating below the liners when closed, smooth snap and good lockup when open. It is button open, backspring release close. Very cool vintage Russian RPK gunstock swinger switchblade.
