RPK Russian Prison Knife Vintage aluminum frame switchblade knife. These knives were made by inmates of Russian prisons back in the 1960s and 70s to be sold to raise capital for the prisons. They are all hand made and very unique and beautiful pieces of Russian cutlery Folk Art. This knife measures just over 21cm (8 3/8 inches) open with engraved aluminum frame. The straight back saber grind blade is mostly full and has lots of light scratches. The knife works well with the blade tip seating below the liners when closed, smooth snap and great lockup when open. It is button open button close and button can be rotated to preferred position. Very cool vintage Russian RPK Aluminum body switchblade.
