Vintage Russian RPK (Russian Prison Knife) all metal switchblade. These knives were made by inmates of Russian prisons back in the 1960s and 70s to be sold to raise capital for the prisons. They were all hand made and very unique and beautiful pieces of Russian cutlery Folk Art. This knife measures 17cm (6.75 inches) open with brass frame, plates & button. The blade is nearly full and shiny. Brass frame with some engraving in good condition. The knife works well with the blade tip seating very deep in the well when closed, smooth snap and tight lockup when open. Button slides to open and also to release blade to close. EX- condition.
