Vintage Russian RPK (Russian Prison Knife) switchblade. These knives were made by inmates of Russian prisons back in the 1960s and 70s to be sold to raise capital for the prisons. They were all hand made and very unique and beautiful pieces of Russian cutlery Folk Art. This knife measures 12.5cm (5 inches) open with steel liners, frame & button. The dragon fang shaped blade is mostly full with lots of scratches. The body of the knife is sort of dragon shaped and colorful with nice "scale effect" and in good condition. The knife works well with the blade tip even with the liners when closed, smooth snap and locks open with some movement and rattles if shaken with the blade open. Press button to open and press button to close. Fair condition.
