C JUL HERBERTZ 1960s Italian Trapdoor OTF switchblade NOS

Vintage 1960s Italian trapdoor switchblade. This knife is New Old Stock and is part of a group of these knives that was found in an old workshop in Italy a couple of years ago. These switchblades have been very rare in the collecting community over the past 50 years so this find will give the opportunity to many collectors to own one of these knives who would likely never have had that opportunity before. These knives were never sold retail. I believe the reason that they weren't sold is because each one has some issue, most very minor, that precluded them from being sold as perfect. This one, for example has a flaw in the plating on the bottom bolsters and some brass is showing through. Pretty minor, but no perfect. Otherwise this is a like new 1960s Italian trapdoor OTF switchblade that works great! The blade is stamped C JUL HERBERTZ over IMPORT and the backside is stamped PATENT over ROSTFREI. It measures 8 3/8 inches open and has some gorgeous light green/white translucent horn. Amazing old Italian swtichblade!
