ROSTFREI KISSING CRANE 18cm German Stag Lever vintage automatic knife likely made in the 1950s or 60s in Germany. German knives like this are often referred to by the length closed in cm, rounded down. The knife measures 17.8cm (7 inches open) and 10.4cm (4 1/8 inches) closed with steel liners and German (nickel) silver bolsters and lever. The spear point blade is 96% full or better and shiny with some light scratches and the tang is stamped ROSTFREI in an arch over two cranes, the Kissing Crane mark. The backside is stamped ROBT KLAAS SOLINGEN. The stag scales are attractive and in very good condition. The knife works great with the blade tip below the liners closed, good snap and very good lockup with less than 1/16" movement each way at the tip. Does not rattle if shaken with the blade open. VG+ condition.
