Ring Cutlery BSvoboda Italy 16cm 1950s Picklock New Old Stock w/ paper

This is a New Old Stock Italian 16cm Picklock from the late 1950s with the original wax paper instruction sleeve! This is one of the NOS switchblade knives found in storage in a warehouse in Mexico in 2020. There were over 300  automatic knives that had been put on a shelf in the warehouse around 1958 and sat there untouched for over 60 years! Most in original wrappers, or boxes. Most likely left over inventory of a Mexican importer/exporter wholesale company when the laws changed in 1958, or maybe just forgotten inventory, but definitely unsold inventory.

This knife measures 16cm open and has beautiful horn scales and brass liners. The full untouched flat grind swedge blade is stamped RING CUTLERY BSVOBODA ITALY with some smudges that could easily be cleaned off, but I'm leaving it just as it was found. Beautiful horn scales with colors ranging from black to green to white. The knife works like new. It comes with a laminated certificate of authenticity proving that it is one of the actual knives from the 2020 Mexico find and signed by Mark Erickson, author of the book Antique American Switchblades.
