Vintage New Old Stock RING CUTLERY B SVOBODA ITALY Italian 16cm Picklock from the late 1950s with the original wax paper instruction sleeve! This is one of the New Old Stock vintage switchblade knives found in storage in a warehouse in Mexico in 2020. There were over 300 automatic knives that had been put on a shelf in the warehouse around 1958 and sat there untouched for over 60 years! Most in original wrappers, or boxes. Most likely left over inventory of a Mexican importer/exporter wholesale company when the laws changed in 1958, or maybe just forgotten inventory, but definitely unsold inventory.

This knife measures 16cm (6.25 inches) open with D stamped brass liners and nickel silver bolsters, button & safety cap. The flat grind swedge blade is 100% full with original finish with some age/storage spots and ricasso is stamped RING CUTLERY BSVOBODA ITALY. Genuine horn scales are traditional Black which is actually less common. The knife works like new. It comes with a laminated certificate of authenticity proving that it is one of the actual knives from the 2020 Mexico find and signed by Mark Erickson, author of the book Antique American Switchblades and the original wax paper instruction wrapper.
