Remington R2303 vintage Switchblade

Here is a nice vintage Remington R2303 switchblade knife. This knife was made under contract by the George Schrade Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT sometime between 1938 and 1944. Pretty much the same knife as the Presto model 1000, but the bone jig pattern is different, they used copper beryllium springs and of course the tang is stamped Remington and the backside is stamped R2303. The knife measures 4 1/8 inches closed and 7 1/8 inches open and it has steel liners and bolsters. The blade appears to be nearly full and has been lightly cleaned so it's shiny, similar to original finish. The jigged bone scales are in great condition. The knife works properly with the blade tip seating below the liners when closed, good snap and good lockup when open. Nice old Remington switchblade knife.
