Vintage Remington R645 bowtie switchblade with candystripe made under contract by the Geo Schrade Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT for Remington sometime between 1938 and 1943. The knife measures 4 inches closed and 7 3/16 inches open with brass liners and nickel silver bolsters, button & safety. The clip blade is stamped Remington with a line under it on the front and R645 on the rear. The blade is 98% full, or better with lots of scratches and you can still read the original acid etch Remington Master Knife on the face. The Candystripe celluloid scales are very attractive and in very good condition. The knife works well with the blade tip even with the liners closed, opens fully and good lockup with about 1/8" up and down. Does not rattle if shaken with blade open. Safety works. EX- condition.
