Vintage Remington R2403 Hunter switchblade made under contract by the Geo Schrade Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT between 1937 and 1944. The knife measures 5 inches closed and 8 5/8" open with steel liners and bolsters and nickel silver button and safety. The clip blade is 97% full and shiny and has been lightly cleaned. The tang is stamped Remington, underlined and the backside is stamped R2403 which is the pattern number. The bone scales are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. The knife works well with the blade tip deep & centered closed, good snap and Tight lockup open. No rattle if shaken with blade open. Safety works. EX condition.
