Vintage Remington R2403 Hunter switchblade made under contract by the Geo Schrade Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT between 1937 and 1944. The knife measures 5 inches closed and 8 3/8" open with steel liners and bolsters and nickel silver button and safety. The clip blade is 92% full and shiny with some scratches and some tiny pits and the tang is stamped Remington, underlined, but hard to read because of pitting. Backside is stamped R2403. The bone scales are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. The knife works well with the blade tip below liners, good snap and locks open kinda loose with about 1/4 inch up and down at the tip and a little side to side. Rattles if shaken with blade open. Safety works. EX condition.
