PRESTO SMALL STAMP Rare Early All metal Hunter Vintage switchblade knife

Vintage Rare PRESTO SMALL STAMP Early All metal Hunter switchblade knife made by the George Schrade Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT sometime before 1940. The early Small Stamp Prestos are hard to find and more collectible, but this one is even rarer because of the metal handles (scales) combined with the early stamp. We haven't seen one of these before, so not very common. The knife measures 5 inches closed and 8.75 inches open with steel liners, scales, button & safety cap. The clip blade is 100% full with nearly all of the original finish intact and the tang has the early PRESTO PAT PEND-G (small stamp) and the reverse is stamped G SCHRADE over B'PORT, CT. The handles are pressed metal imitation stag pattern and painted black at the factory and in wonderful condition with just slight paint wear on some high spots and a little brown pain splatter on the rear scale in one spot. The knife works great with blade tip deep & centered closed, nice snap and excellent lockup open with about 1/16" movement at the tip which is really good for these nearly 100 year old switchblades.
