Vintage Presto Hunter switchblade with jigged bone scales made by the George Schrade Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT sometime between 1930 and 1940. This is one of the earliest hunters with the less common small PRESTO stamp. This knife measures 5 inches closed and 8 3/4 inches open with steel liners, bolsters, button & lanyard ring and nickel silver safety. It was designated the model 3000 and was the largest switchblade made by the company. This one is in excellent condition with a nearly full blade with no major flaws. The blade is approximately 98% full and has some patina, spotting and light scratches. Jigged bone scales (handles) are in excellent condition and the knife has a factory lanyard ring, which was most likely special ordered by a customer. Knife functions great with the blade tip seating deep and centered, strong snap and Tight lockup! This is a really nice example of a harder-to-find vintage Presto Small stamp hunter. Safety works. EX- condition.
