Vintage PRESTO Girl Scout knife sold through the Girl Scout catalog from 1943-1945. This knife is the Real Deal and I've included a shot of the page from the 1943 Girl scout catalog that features this two blade automatic knife made for the Girl Scouts of America organization. The knife measures 3 3/8 inches closed and 7 1/8 inches with both blades open and it has steel liners, button & shackle with nickel silver safeties. The blades are both 98% full, or better with much of the original finish intact and a very faint trace of the original Girl Scouts of America etch on the face of the large blade. Only part of the etch, mainly the center symbol is visible and very hard to see. The knife has been lightly used and the blades have been lightly sharpened. The jigged bone scales are in excellent condition with original shackle. The knife works well with both blade tips below the liners closed, both open strong with kickback on the small blade, and both lock open well with just a little movement at the tip of the large blade. Does not rattle if shaken with blades open. Both safeties work. EX- condition. No Girl Scout knife collection is complete without this Rare version. Guaranteed to be authentic.
