Presto MADE IN USA Vintage Paratrooper style Hunter Metal switchblade w lanyard

Vintage Presto MADE IN USA Vintage Paratrooper style Hunter Metal switchblade w lanyard ring & painted black metal handles. It was made by the Geo Schrade Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT sometime between 1929 and 1955. It's the largest model that they offered measuring 5 inches closed and 8 3/4 inches open with steel liners, button & safety. The blade is 97% full or better with lots of light scratches and some light pitting and the tang is stamped PRESTO MADE IN USA and the backside is marked GEO SCHRADE BRIDGEPORT CONN. The painted metal scales are in good condition with all the black paint intact, but likely has been repainted. The knife functions well with the blade tip deep and centered in the well closed, good snap and below average lockup with about 1/8" up and down at the tip and some side to side. Knife does rattle if shaken with blade open, as most of these 70+ year old used switchblades do.  Safety works. VG condition.
