Vintage PRESTO M2 Black Wormgroove handles switchblade knife made by the George Schrade Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT sometime between 1940 and 1956. It measures 4 1/8" closed and 6 7/8" open with steel liners, bolsters and lanyard ring, but nickel silver button and safety. The hawk bill blade is 99% full with most of the original finish intact and some light scratches and peppering. The tang is stamped PRESTO PAT JAN 30-40 MADE IN USA front and GEO SCHRADE KNIFE CO INC BPT CONN rear. The black synthetic wormgroove scales are in nice condition with no cracks or shrinkage and has bail (staple) to attach a cord. The knife works well with blade tip deep and centered, strong snap and good lockup with less than 1/16" movement at he tip. Does not rattle if shaken with the blade open. Safety works. EX condition.
