PRESTO M2 Geo Schrade Knife Co Military paratrooper black switchblade knife

Vintage PRESTO M2 Black Worm groove handled switchblade knife made by the George Schrade Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT sometime between 1940 and 1954. Might have been late WWII issue, or as late as the Korean Conflict, but most likely US Military issue. The knife measures 4 1/8" closed and 7 1/8" open with steel liners, bolsters and lanyard ring, but nickel silver button and safety. The clip blade is about 97% full with original factory finish intact and is stamped PRESTO PAT JAN 30-40 MADE IN USA front and GEO SCHRADE KNIFE CO INC BPT CONN rear. The scales are in excellent condition with no cracks or shrinkage and has bail (staple) to attach a cord. The knife works well with blade tip deep and centered, strong snap and excellent lockup with barely any movement at the tip open. Safety works. Near mint condition.
