PRESTO M2 WWII vintage bone handled automatic knife made by the George Schrade Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT sometime between 1930 and 1941. It measures 4 1/8" closed and 7 1/16" open with steel liners, bolsters, bail, safety & button. The blade is marked PRESTO over MADE IN USA on the front and GEO SCHRADE over BRIDGEPORT over CONN on the rear. Blade 98% full or better with some light scratches and light spotting and has been lightly cleaned. The dyed jigged bone scales are very nice with no cracks or chips with lanyard ring (staple). The knife works well with blade tip deep and centered closed, strong snap and good lockup with about 1/16" movement at the tip. Does rattle if shaken with blade open. Most likely issued to troops during WWII by the US government. Safety works. VG+ condition.
