PRESTO M2 WWII vintage bone handled automatic knife made by the George Schrade Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT sometime between 1930 and 1941. It measures 4 1/8" closed and 7 1/8" open with steel liners, bolsters, bail, safety & button. The blade is marked PRESTO over MADE IN USA on the front and GEO SCHRADE over BRIDGEPORT over CONN on the rear. Blade is mostly full (95%) with some light scratches under some patina and light spotting and pitting on the tang. The dyed jigged bone scales are very nice with no cracks or chips with lanyard ring (staple). The knife works well with blade tip deep in the well, strong snap and good lockup with less than 1/16" up and down at the tip. Most likely issued to troops during WWII by the US government. Safety works. VG condition.
