Vintage PRESTO M2 WWII vintage bone handled automatic knife made by the George Schrade Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT sometime between 1930 and 1941. It measures 4 1/8" closed and 7 inches open with steel liners, bolsters, bail & button with nickel silver safety. The blade is marked PRESTO over PAT PEND-G on the front and G SCHRADE over B'PORT CT on the rear. Blade is nearly full (about 97%) with patina, some light scratches and light spotting. The dyed jigged bone scales are very nice with no cracks or chips with lanyard ring (staple). The knife works well with blade tip below liners closed, good snap and locks open with about 1/8" movement each way that the tip. Rattles if shaken with the blade open. Safety works. VG+ condition.
