PRESTO M2 WWII vintage bone handled automatic knife. This knife was made by the George Schrade Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT sometime between 1930 and 1941. It measures 4 1/8" closed and 7 1/8" open with steel liners, bolsters, bail, safety & button. The blade is marked PRESTO over MADE IN USA on the front and GEO SCHRADE over BRIDGEPORT over CONN on the rear. Blade is nearly full (98%) with much of the original finish visible with several light scratches and light spotting. The scales are very nice dyed Jigged bone with no cracks or chips with lanyard ring (staple). The knife works well with blade tip deep and centered, strong snap and nice lockup with very little movement. Issued to troops during WWII by the US government. Safety works. EX condition.
