PRESTO M2 Bone WWII vintage Paratrooper automatic knife

PRESTO M2 WWII vintage bone handled automatic knife. This knife was made by the George Schrade Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT sometime between 1930 and 1941. It measures 4 1/8" closed and 7 1/8" open with steel liners, bolsters, bail & button. The blade is marked PRESTO over PAT PEND-G on the front and G. SCHRADE over B'PORT, CT on the rear. Blade is nearly full with some of the original finish visible with a few light scratches under some patina and light spotting. The scales are gorgeous with no cracks or chips with lanyard ring (staple). The knife works well with blade tip deep and centered, strong snap and Tight lockup. Issued to troops during WWII by the US government, likely prior to, or early during the war. Safety works. EX condition.
