PRESTO M2 Bone WWII paratrooper switchblade knife

PRESTO M2 WWII vintage bone handled automatic knife. This knife was made by the George Schrade Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT sometime between 1940 and 1956. It measures 4 1/8" closed and 7 1/8" open with steel liners, bolsters & button. The blade is nearly full with most of the original finish visible with a few light scratches and some scattered spotting and is stamped PRESTO PAT JAN 30-40 MADE IN USA front and GEO SCHRADE KNIFE CO INC B'PT CONN rear. The scales are gorgeous with no cracks or chips with lanyard ring (staple) with steel pins. The knife works well with blade tip deep and centered, strong snap and Tight lockup. Issued to troops during WWII by the US government. Safety works. EX- condition.
