PRESTO Lazy W Folding Guard Hunter Wormgroove switchblade knife USA

Vintage PRESTO Model 8000 Hunter with Lazy W folding guards and brain wormgroove scales (handles) made by the George Schrade Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT sometime between 1940 and 1956. It measures 5 inches closed and 8 3/4 inches open with steel liners and nickel silver bolsters guards, button & safety. The clip blade is 100% full with all of the original finish intact with some light scratches and small marks on this Beautiful blade. The tang is marked PRESTO PAT JAN 30-40 MADE IN USA on the front (a little weak) and GEO SCHRADE KNIFE CO INC B'P'T, CONN on the rear. The multi shaded brown scales, often referred to as "brain" with wormgroove pattern are in excellent condition. The knife works well with the blade tip seating deep and centered closed, good snap, guards fly into position, and very good lockup. Does rattle if shaken when blade is open. Safety works. EX condition.
