PRESTO Lazy W Folding Guard Hunter Black Worm groove switchblade knife

Vintage PRESTO Hunter with Lazy W folding guards made by the George Schrade Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT sometime between 1940 and 1956. It was designated the model number 8000 and measures 5 inches closed and 8 3/4 inches open with steel liners and nickel silver bolsters, guards, button and safety. The blade is nearly full (99%) with light scratches and a little light pitting in a couple of spots. The blade is marked PRESTO PAT JAN 30-40 MADE IN USA on the front and GEO SCHRADE KNIFE CO INC B'P'T, CONN on the rear. The Black wormgroove synthetic scales are in very good condition. The knife works well with the blade tip seating deep in the well, good snap, guards fly into position, and fair lockup with about 3/16 inch up and down at the tip. Safety works. EX condition.
