PRESTO Lazy W Folding guard Black wormgroove switchblade Near Mint condition

Gorgeous Vintage PRESTO model 8000 Lazy W folding guard hunter with black wormgroove scales. This knife was made by the George Schrade Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT sometime between 1940 and 1956. It was designated the model number 8000 and measures 5 inches closed and 8 3/4 inches open with steel liners and nickel silver guards & button and steel safety. The blade is 100% full with 100% of the factory finish and is marked PRESTO PAT JAN 30-40 MADE IN USA on the front and GEO SCHRADE KNIFE CO INC B'P'T, CONN on the rear. The black scales with wormgroove pattern are in extra nice condition. The knife works well with the blade tip seating deep in the well, good snap, guards fly into position, and good lockup with just a hint of up and down at the tip. Safety works. Near Mint condition!
