PRESTO Hunter Bone vintage automatic knife pattern #3000

PRESTO Hunter Bone vintage automatic knife pattern #3000 made by the George Schrade Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT sometime between 1940 and 1956. The knife measures 5 inches closed and 8 9/16 inches open with steel liners and nickel silver bolsters & button with steel safety. The clip blade is 96% full and shiny with light scratches and a few pepper spots and the tang is stamped PRESTO PAT. JAN. 30-40 MADE IN USA and the backside is GEO SCHRADE KNIFE CO INC. B'P'T CONN (double stamped). The jigged bone scales are very attractive and in very nice condition. The knife works well with blade tip below the liners closed, opens fully most of the time, but drags a bit and stops short sometimes with good lockup with less than 1/16" up and down and no rattle if shaken with blade open. Safety works. VG+ condition.
