PRESTO Girl Scout knife & box Vintage early 1940s automatic knife official

Vintage PRESTO Girl Scout knife sold through the Girl Scout catalog from 1943-1945 with original box. This knife is the Real Deal and I've included a shot of the page from the 1943 catalog that features this two blade automatic knife made for the Girl Scouts of America organization. The knife measures 3 3/8 inches closed and 7 1/8 inches with both blades open and it has steel liners, button & shackle with nickel silver safeties. The blades are both 98% full, or better with much of the original finish intact along with the original Girl Scouts of America etch on the face of the large blade. The knife has been used and the blades have been sharpened, but not much loss and both have light scratches, patina and some spotting. The jigged bone scales are in excellent condition with original shackle. The knife works well with both blade tips below the liners closed, both open strong with a little kickback, and both lock open well with just a little movement. Both safeties work. VG+ condition. No Girl Scout knife collection is complete without this Rare version.
