Vintage Presto fishtail bowtie switchblade knife made by the Geo Schrade Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT sometime between 1940 and 1956. This knife was designated the model #5000. It measures 4 inches closed and 7.25 inches open with brass liners. The blade is marked PRESTO PAT JAN 30-40 MADE IN USA on the front and G SCHRADE KNIFE CO INC B'P'T, CONN on the rear tang so it was made after 1940. The carbon steel clip blade is 99% full with some of the factory finish intact with some light scratches spotting, very nice blade. The Blue swirl celluloid scales (handles) are in nice condition with some minor handling marks. The knife works well with the blade tip even with the liners when closed, good snap and good lockup open with just a hint of up and down at the tip. 100% money back guarantee including return shipping if not happy with this knife.
