z PRESTO DERBY Scout 1940s Vintage American automatic knife

PRESTO DERBY Scout 1940s Vintage American automatic knife made by the George Schrade Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT sometime between 1940 and 1950 and designated the model 1500. It measures 4 1/8 inches closed and 7 1/8 inches open with brass liners and nickel silver bolsters and button and steel safety. The clip blade is 99% or full, or better with patina and some spotting and is stamped PRESTO PAT JAN 30-40 MADE IN USA on the front and GEO SCHRADE KNIFE CO INC B'P'T, CONN on the back of the tang. The jigged bone scales are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. The knife works great with blade tip deep and centered when closed, good snap and excellent lockup open. Safety works.
