PRESTO #3000 Large Hunter Jigged bone Vintage automatic knife

Vintage PRESTO #3000 Large Hunter Jigged bone automatic knife made by the George Schrade Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT sometime between 1928 and 1956. This is the largest switchblade made by the company measuring 5 inches closed and 8 3/4 inches open with steel liners, bolsters, button & safety. The clip blade is 100% full and shiny with much of the original finish with light scratches and spotting, especially on the backside of the blade. The tang is stamped PRESTO MADE IN USA on the front and GEO SCHRADE BRIDGEPORT, CONN on the reverse. The jigged bone scales are beautiful and no cracks, but someone did lightly scratch a crude "A" into the front scale. Doesn't show up too bad and doesn't take much away from such a beautiful old knife. The knife works great with blade tip deep and centered, good snap and tight lockup open. Does not rattle if shaken with blade open. EX condition.
