Press Button Knife Co Victor vintage switchblade
Press Button Knife Co Victor vintage switchblade
This is an antique switchblade made by the Press Button Knife Co a division of the Walden Knife Co of Walden, NY sometime before 1923. This model was called "The VICTOR" which means it's the largest model with folding guards. It's the same size as the more common Invincible model measuring 4 7/8 inches closed and 8 3/4 inches open with steel liners and nickel silver bolsters and folding guards. The clip blade is nearly full with some scratches and some light pitting. Overall a nice blade that is marked PRESS BUTTON KNIFE CO WALDEN NY on the front tang and US PAT 470605 on the rear. The jigged bone scales are very attractive and in perfect condition. The knife works great with blade tip deep when closed, good snap and locks open with very little movement at the tip. EX- condition.
