This is an antique switchblade knife made by the Press Button Knife Co a division of the Walden Knife Co of Walden, NY sometime between 1892 and 1923. This model was called "The VICTOR" which means it's the large model with folding guards. Originally had an etch on the blade that said "The Victor". It's the same size as the more common Invincible model measuring 4 7/8 inches closed and over 8 1/2 inches open with steel liners. The blade has loss from sharpening, approx 90% full with some light scratches and some pitting. The jigged bone scales are very attractive and in perfect condition. The knife works well with blade tip well inside the well when closed, good snap and locks open. As with most of these that have seen use over the years, it will rattle with the blade open and has about 1/4 inch up and down movement and some side to side at the tip when open. Good example of a 100+ year old American large folding guard switchblade.
