Antique Press Button Knife Co The VICTOR picked bone folding guard automatic knife made by a division of the Walden Knife Co of Walden, NY sometime before 1923. This model was called "The VICTOR" and it's the largest model that they made with folding guards. It's the same size as the more common Invincible model measuring 4 7/8 inches closed and 8 9/16 inches open with steel liners and nickel silver bolsters and folding guards. The clip blade is 95% full or better and about 3/16" short with some scratches and the tang is stamped PRESS BUTTON KNIFE CO WALDEN NY on the front backside is blank which means this knife was likely made between 1912 and 1923. The picked bone scales are very attractive and in excellent condition with one hairline crack on the back scale that's not very noticeable. The knife works great with blade tip deep & centered closed, good snap and very good lockup with about 1/16" movement at the tip. Rattles if shaken with blade open as most of these 100 year old switchblades do. VG+ condition.
