Antique Press Button Knife Co Medium double Sterling Silver Satyr switchblade made in Walden, NY sometime between 1892 and 1923 and was designated pattern number 110SS. It measures 3 3/8" closed and 6.75 inches open with nickel silver liners and buttons. The blades are 96% full or so and shiny with light scratches and light peppering. Both blades are stamped PRESS BUTTON KNIFE CO WALDEN NY on the front tang and the backsides stamped US PAT 470605. This knife was likely made before 1912 based on the blade markings. The scales are Sterling Silver with a SATYR, often referred to as Old Man Winter by collectors, and are in beautiful condition and both stamped STERLING. The knife works well with both blade tips below liners closed, spring strong and both blades open fully with some kickback, and both lock up well in the open position. Large blade locks tight, small blade has just a tiny bit of up and down at the tip. Does NOT rattle if shaken when open. EX+ condition.
