Antique Press Button Knife Co medium double with tortoise celluloid handles (scales) with advertising. The knife was made in Walden, NY sometime between 1892 and 1923. It was designated the model #102 and measures 3 3/8" closed and 6 15/16 inches with both blades open with brass liners. It is the middle one of three sizes of switchblade doubles made by the company. The blades are both nearly full and shiny with original finish. Both blades are marked PRESS BUTTON KNIFE CO WALDEN NY. There are no patent numbers which means it was likely made between 1913 and 1923. The tortoise celluloid scales are in great condition with no cracks and have advertising: BYRON CLOW & CO on the front and SO OHMAHA NEB on the back. The knife works great with both blade tips below the liners closed, good snap and great lockup and no kickback. EX+ condition.
