Antique Press Button Knife Co Medium double Sterling Silver Satyr switchblade knife made in Walden, NY sometime between 1892 and 1923. It was designated pattern number 110SS and measures 3 3/8" closed and 6.75 inches open with nickel silver liners and buttons. The blades are mostly full with light scratches and a little peppering. Both blades are stamped PRESS BUTTON KNIFE CO NY and the backsides US PAT 470605 which means this knife was likely made before1912. The scales are Sterling Silver with a SATYR on the front scale, often called Old Man Winter by collectors and the back scale (handle) has advertising "Compliments of Home Insurance Co NY" and they are in very nice condition. The knife works well with both blade tips below liners closed, both open fully and lock open well, small blade tight, large blade less than 1/16" movement at the tip. Small blade has some kickback. EX condition.
