Antique Press Button Knife Co medium double with smooth black synthetic handles (scales), a less common color for this knife. The knife was made in Walden, NY sometime between 1892 and 1923. It was designated the model #107 and measures 3 3/8" closed and 7 inches with both blades open and has brass liners and nickel silver buttons. It is the middle one of three sizes of switchblade doubles made by the company. The blades are both 97% full or better with patina, pitting & spotting and both are marked PRESS BUTTON KNIFE CO WALDEN NY on the front tangs. There are no patent numbers which means it was likely made between 1913 and 1923. There is a small nick in the cutting edge of the large blade. The smooth black scales are in good condition with no cracks and slight shrinkage with lots of little scuffs & handling marks. The knife works great with both blade tips below the liners closed, good snap and good lockup on main blade and less than 1/16" up and down at the tip on the small blade. VG condition.
