PRESS BUTTON KNIFE CO Mechanic's Jack Large 3 11/16 Bone Double Antique automatic

Antique PRESS BUTTON KNIFE CO Mechanic's Jack Large Bone Double model #116 automatic pocket knife made in Walden, NY between 1892 and 1923. The knife measures 3 11/16 inches closed and 7 7/16 inches with both blades open and it has brass liners and nickel silver buttons & pins. It's a Spear/Spay blade combination and both blades have some loss from sharpening/use at about 95% full with heavy patina, scratches and some spotting. Both blades are stamped PRESS BUTTON KNIFE CO WALDEN, NY on the tangs and the back sides are blank. The dyed picked bone scales are gorgeous and have factory notch for thumb to have better control of the knife when using at the spay end. The knife works well with both tips at or below the liners closed, both open fully and lock with average lockup for a 100 year old switchblade that has seen use. Spear blade has about 1/16" up and down at the tip and the spay blade has over 1/8 inch up and down. These large PBKC doubles are fairly rare and hard to find in any condition. VG condition.
