Antique Press Button Knife Co medium double with Ivory celluloid handles (scales). The knife was made in Walden, NY sometime between 1892 and 1923 and was designated the model #107. The knife measures 3 3/8" closed and 6 13/16 inches with both blades open and has brass liners and nickel silver buttons. It is the middle one of three sizes of switchblade doubles made by the company. The blades are both full with all of the original crocus polish finish intact with just a little spider web and few pepper spots near the tip of the large blade. Both blades are marked PRESS BUTTON KNIFE CO WALDEN NY on the fronts and on the back of the tangs US PAT 470605. The smooth ivory cell scales are in excellent condition and have advertising of COMPLIMENTS OF JOHANN HOFF on the front and MAKES FLESH AND BLOOD on the rear. The knife works like new with both blade tips below the liners closed, good snap and TIGHT lockup with some kickback on small blade as most did. EX+ condition.
