Antique Press Button Knife Co Business model automatic knife with Nice ETCH made in Walden, NY sometime between 1892 and 1923. It measures 3 15/16 inches closed and 6 7/8 inches open with steel liners and nickel silver bolsters & button & pins. The clip blade is 98% full or better with original finish and some light scratches and light spotting. You can still make out the original BUSINESS acid etch on the face of the blade, but hard to see it without turning the knife at angles to the light. It's very faint, BUT it's nearly all there! The tang is clearly stamped PRESS BUTTON KNIFE CO WALDEN, NY with no patent markings on the reverse. The jigged bone scales are in wonderful condition with no cracks, or chips. The knife works great with blade tip deep and centered closed, opens nicely and very good lockup with less than 1/16" up and down and side to side at the tip. Rattles if shaken with blade open as most of these do. EX+ condition.
