Press Button Knife Co Medium double Sterling Silver Satyr switchblade made in Walden, NY sometime between 1892 and 1923 and designated pattern number 110SS. The knife measures 3 3/8" closed and 6 7/8 inches open with nickel silver liners & buttons. The blades are about 95% full with heavy patina, scattered scratches and light pitting and both blades stamped PRESS BUTTON KNIFE CO WALDEN,NY on the front and the backside of both stamped US PAT 470605. This knife was likely made before 1913 based since they have the patent numbers. The scales are Sterling Silver with a SATYR, often called Old Man Winter by collectors and are in average used condition with some scuffs and marked STERLING on both scales. The knife works well with small tip below liners and large blade tip just above the liners closed, both blades open fully and lock open with a little extra movement at the tips open, but does not rattle if shaken with blades open. Small blade has a little kickback. VG condition.
